As a breeder, it's important to me that all of my puppies go to their new homes with some foundational training and with owners who understand how to continue that training to create a well socialized and well behaved dog. The author if this book, Joanna Russell, is our chosen trainer and each of our owners gets this book in their go home packet. I've read countless training books by countless authors and I wholeheartedly recommend this one each and every time!

My family and I have learned a great deal from your book. It has helped us acclimate Remy to a solid routine and figure him out a little better. The book keeps you focused on specific training goals and keeps you from getting overwhelmed. It even provides you with the specific number of repetitions to do of each basic obedience behavior during your daily 5 minutes daily training exercises. If you love following a plan you will love this book

After the first two weeks with Jerry, we were overwhelmed and at a loss for how to control the chaos that have descended upon our apartment. Then came The Puppy Playbook. Fast forward two months and we've experienced a complete 180! The book gave us the structure that we needed along with very clear, simple instructions for how to navigate every bit of foundational training to nuanced roadblocks. I was nervous about not doing a good job of socializing my puppy. A friend of mine had just brought home a puppy and was given The Puppy Playbook by her breeder. I was so excited to see the weekly socialization checklists and socialization report card that I immediately went out and purchased the book for myself. Now 4 weeks in to raising a puppy and things are going great. I've been checking off my weekly socialization tasks and have been taking my puppy out on lots the recommended field trips. Can't recommend this book enough!
